"THEN THEY ALL GOT NAKED"

THEN THEY ALL GOT NAKED Is the new book for which the fans of O.Kay Jackson have been waiting. Order it NOW! Photographs are by New York City's celebrated photographer Heather Swanson - heather@heathersphotography.com. Copies will be available in March of 2008 and pre-orders are being accepted, as well as bookings for speaking engagements.

Once again, as she did in her book Waking Up Men about the maritime industry, OKay takes us inside a new and different world for an up close and personal look. But this time prepare to be shocked. Then They All Got Naked is a book about the swinging “Lifestyle” in America as OKay witnessed it first hand while working as a cashier in one of the best-known swing clubs in the northeastern United States. Filled with facts, statistics, history, candid observations and, of course, the humor for which she is known, this book is an accurate account of her work inside a place where clothes were optional. It makes for a very revealing read and be warned, it contains very strong language and much sexual content - for how could it not?

An excerpt from the introduction to Then They All Got Naked follows:

“ …Non-swingers get an occasional tantalizing peek into such clubs on television, in segments that run the gamut from an expose’ on the local nightly news to sit-down discussions with Oprah Winfrey or Dr. Phil McGraw - with mostly cable stuff in between. When Oprah did a television program about “The Lifestyle” in 2006, her producers told her it was the most challenging show they’d done in nineteen years because there is so much secrecy and shame connected with the vast underground world of swinging.

While there are some books available on the subject, printed in-depth information remains sparse. Swinging has somehow remained a huge, mostly secret society, one that has grown from a handful of “key clubs” in the 1940s to estimates today ranging from a low of one and a half million swingers to upwards of  four million in the United States alone. And while swingers are of every race and nationality, the majority are married Caucasians from the upper-to-middle socio-economic level.

Swing clubs are everywhere. Small white-picket-fence towns often have their own gathering place for folks who freely share their partners sexually with others, that large secluded house the locals talk about in whispered conversations filled with nudges, winks and speculations.

Big cities offer many places for swingers to “party,” but even these cosmopolitan clubs fly well under the social radar, preferring to remain known only to members. Swingers are active here, there, and everywhere around the world, from Europe to Australia and in many, many places in between – and so is the social stigma against them …."
